Great Gable Memorial Service

Despite appalling weather conditions, the FRCC Remembrance Service on the Summit of Great Gable went ahead last Sunday, 9th November. An estimated crowd of  800 walkers gathered at the summit memorial plaque to pay tribute to those who lost their lives for us at war.

Winds reached 70mph and snow and sleet made poor conditions underfoot. But walkers of every age were not deterred from climbing the mountain to hold a two minute silence at 11am.
