in heavy rain today seems to have done the trick. Head seems to be clearing nicely. Perhaps it was the steady dripping of water dripping on my nose from the brim of my hat, perhaps it was that all enveloping feeling of dampness that invades after about the third hour of consecutive rain.  I may never know, but after a wee “Sweety Nippy” (12 year old single malt) and a hot shower I am feeling much more like my old self. The turn of events seems to have been visited, filtered and stored under ‘Unpleasant Memories’, and I am once again ready to face humanity, the family, work and the endless questions that are bound to follow.

Ceilidh Report

The Club held a Ceilidh on Sat 21Nov.  About 45 came along to dance and/or listen to the excellent live music provided by "Tumbling Tom". The venue was the "Malt Kiln" in Bardsea, which is a lovely building with a great atmosphere.

Good quality pie & peas were provided by "Baguette-me-not". The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all who came, and there have been a number of calls to make this a regular event.
