2008 Club Barbeque Weekend

 

As you will be aware, for the past two or three years the format for the Annual Barbeque has been for people to turn up at the cottage for a social gathering providing and preparing their own food. The change was brought about for various reasons including illness and lack of able/willing manpower. Unfortunately, since adopting the new format the barbeque has not been as popular as it was.

 

Well, hopefully that’s going to change. This year we are able to return to the old format. The club will provide and prepare all food for the event, all you have to do is get yourselves to the cottage with some beer, wine or whatever you fancy and a big bag of sunshine! As in previous years there will be a fine selection of hot and cold food available, with the barbeques once more being manned by myself (John Harrison) who will gladly incinerate anything you fancy to order!

 

The barbeque is to be held on Saturday 5^th July starting at 6:00p.m.and the cottage is available all weekend if you wish to stay over or make a long weekend of it. There will be a nominal charge of £2.00 per person and we would be grateful for volunteers to help clean/wash up and remove rubbish after the event.
