These events and other commitments have prevented me from attending many of our Club events, as I would otherwise wish.  There is never enough time to fit everything in but I have managed to attend most of the committee meetings, and I always have the Club’s annual dinner in my diary before anything else.  I hope to see you all there.

My post as president, like everyone else’s, is always up for grabs at the Annual General Meeting to give brighter lights a chance to shine.

Best wishes and good climbing.

Peter Fleming.

Chairman.

Peter Kelly. The website had over 2000 hits, twice the number this year than last. The cub still has no Meets Secretary, but attendance on meets had improved, with the exception of the BBQ. Perhaps it should be cancelled next year? Winter socials had been well attended and the clubs digital projector well used.

Treasurer.

Steve Nelson. For the first time there was a deficit on the year. However, this was planned in order to take account of the cottage re-fit which had increased expenditure, whilst at the same time closure had reduced income. Nevertheless the actual income had been £300 more than budgeted, whilst expenditure had been £500 less.

Membership.

Jim Roskell. There were four new members. Membership totalled 94, including nine honorary members.

Cottage Warden.

Ian Currie said that the modifications to the guest kitchen were 95% complete. The work had revealed a new problem of water penetration from the back wall of the kitchen.  There had been favourable comments from guests. The work had cost £6,000, but the proceeds of bookings provided financial support for the club. It would be nice if more people would attend work meets.
