digital projector and screen, so if you have digital images then bring them on a laptop or CD. We will also have the traditional slide projector. The Hall is not licensed but we are welcome to bring our own alcohol or any other refreshments. The village hall committee have asked if local people from Gleaston can come to our socials and we have agreed this is OK. The socials are all on Friday evenings 8.00 PM start.

To find the Village Hall when approaching from Barrow, proceed into Gleaston and turn right into "The Guards"; go past the playground and the hall is on the Left. Parking is possible outside the hall or beyond on the grass verge. If approaching from Ulverston turn left into "The Guards".

A reasonable day was promised by the nice weather people - damp in the south of the county, dry with sunny intervals in the north - so Castle Rock looked like a good choice. Peter and I got there at the allotted time, but there was nobody else. A phone call found them contemplating the dampness out of the window in Ulverston, not believing the sun was shining on those who got up early, honest!
